Making Bread

We were lucky to have a fabulous experience where we actually got to make our own bread.
It was fun watching the yeast do its work, kneading the bread as well as eating of course!

Happy TV

What have you done today that made someone's day more awesomer?
Room 15 decided to share some happiness and joy with the kids and teachers at Pt England today.
We had been working for sometime on a concept where Pt Englanders had the opportunity to share simple stories of good news with their community.
What unfolded as we discussed happiness, joy, empathy, sharing and building community, was the idea of a happiness flash mob.

We only hope that you enjoy our movie and perhaps focus on those simple happy moments with your family, friends and classmates.

Pt England Rap Stars

The brief was to write encouraging lyrics for an existing tune that already had an uplifting or motivational chorus.

Room 15 quickly got down to business and wrote some great lyrics and then recorded them on our ipads. Filming the MTV added an extra element of planning and fun to our task.

Make the World More Awesome - PE Style

Well done Isara, Wyatt and Rocky for entertaining us and creating a super cool "Pep Talk". I
As a class we watched "Pep Talk" on you tube and these guys wanted to make their own. They sure exhibited the message of the story during the creating of this clip. Working together, creativity and laughter.

Room 15 had the opportunity to create a movie on the first day of school that would outline things they were looking forward to learning during 2013. These boys enjoyed themselves as well as shared some great ideas.

A Fishy Tale

Thea and Gloria worked really hard on the script for this movie. Then the boys came along and really brought it to life.

Today My Life Begins

 All the kids in Room 13 had the chance to make movies for the Manaiakalani Film Festival. They had to form their own groups, plan, film and edit without any teacher help.
Miss King thought that they had all done such an amazing job, that on the last day of term 3, room 13 hosted their own film festival. All the movies that the kids had made were shown and we ate popcorn and had iceblocks and chocolate!
The two best movies were selected for the Manaiakalani Film Festival.

Well done to Iisa, Shalom, Sosaia, Jordan and Paula for all their hard work.
