Year 3 Extension MTVs

Year 3 extension made MTVs last week.

They wrote the words, recorded the song and then filmed their movies.

 This is their fist independent MTV.

We can't wait to see more from this talented bunch.

Our Wonderful Picnic

We were so lucky that the weather cleared and we could enjoy our annual picnic at Pt England Beach. Aren't we fortunate to have a beach right on our doorstep?

Swimming Lessons

We have been having swimming lessons for the last 2 weeks. Today was our last session and we practiced using life jackets and staying safe around boats. Thanks YMCA for our lessons.

Something BIG!

 It has been an exciting start to 2015 at Pt England School. All our year 1-3 students have their own iPads for their learning! We have been taking photos, writing stories, creating animations, drawing pictures and making movies! So much learning!!!!

Farewell Mrs Jarman

Team 3 made this movie to farewell our beautiful and amazing Mrs Jarman. Mrs Jarman has been our Deputy Principal for 18 years and we love her very much. She will be missed dearly at Pt England, but will always be our special "girl".

I Can Do Anything - I said ANYTHING!

Class 12 are a character filled class of kids. As the year started we knew that we had special talents to share. Many of us love animating, others love acting and we all love showing off.

First up we spent lots of time understanding the lyrics and planning our animations. The drawing of each lyric took ages and ages, but we are proud of what we have created. Our acting was the most fun part, especially watching Justus perform in the band.

Superheroes

Class 12 has been learning about what it means to work hard, never give up and strive for success in all that we do. We have been talking about it, writing about and even making MTVs about it.

Here is a story written by David:

To be a superhero you have to have a positive attitude and be prepared for action. It is like trying to tackle the challenge and achieve excellence in learning. Work hard at life and succeed.


We then turned our ideas and writing into MTVs.

Our Learning Goals

We have been learning about what a top level athlete needs to do to succeed. We also thought about how some of those ideas might pertain to our own learning.
In this movie we share with you things that athletes do to achieve as well as our own success in our own learning.
We filmed all of this around a fun art activity where we turned ourselves in to athletes!
