Our Fantastic Trip on the Ted Ashby

Sailing on the Ted Ashby ship was so freezing. The man who pulls the sails asked us if we would like to have a try at pulling up the main sail. As I was pulling I could feel icy wind biting my face. Sailing with the wind, my hair was blowing around so crazy. Waves were lapping against the Ted Ashby boat, as we sailed towards the Harbour Bridge.

The Eruption of New York

We made our volcano and houses and made the volcano erupt too.
We did really well on our writing and voice over we leant a lot about volcanoes. The thing I enjoyed most was watching our volcano erupt I really, really enjoyed it. Next time I hope I work better with my group.
Iva

What did I enjoy about it? I enjoyed making our movie. What could we have done better? Not play around during work time. What part did we do really well? Writing our voice over. What did I learn from doing this? I learnt how to make a volcano and an eruption. What would I change for next time? I would change the colour of the volcano.
Kane

I enjoyed making our movie because we had fun doing it.
We could have made better objects to make our movie flash.
We did the editing well and perfect.
I learnt how to cut shapes out better and also how to make objects for our scene.
I will change by spending more time on the work were supposed to be doing instead of mucking around.

Michael Jackson Tribute

We made this movie on Friday the 25th of June 2010 because we celebrated the 1 year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death. We planned our moves for his song Black Or White and we practiced it to get it right for his anniversary.

Samuela's recount of Iron Brion.

After morning tea we went to Iron Brion to learn about heathy food. There was a lady called Sarah and a man called Iron Brion - they were the people that did the show for us. Iron Brion said steak and lamb and iron is good for everyone in the world to eat. After that we did jump jam before we ate our burgers that Eddie had made for us.

MTV Volcano

We wrote songs about what we had learnt about volcanoes.
We reckon this is a choice way to help you remember facts and to show off all the great stuff that we learnt.

Samuela Learns about Pressure

On Monday afternoon Miss King gave Room 14 a balloon each to show pressure. As we blew the balloons we were puffing and straining hard to expand our balloons. Suddenly our balloons popped like a massive volcano exploding. The balloon made sounds like the wind.

The air in the balloon is like hot magma but in a volcano. When the magma rises and fills up the magma chamber, pressure builds and ash, smoke and magma goes up the vent then out the crater. Then the volcano explodes like fireworks.

Click here to see the movie about what we learnt.

You Never Know When Someone is Watching

Someone is always watching the cool things that we get up to. Perhaps one day we might just make the All Blacks!

Samuela's favourite thing at Camp

'' Go to bed! '' Miss Garden said in a loud voice. She had heard us talking, when we were meant to be in bed. When Miss Garden went to sleep I turned on my torch and we started to talk again. After our talking I got out my drink and my tent mates wanted some so I gave them a little taste.

Samuela's Waka Adventure

Samuela's animation using Hyperstudio shows what he has learnt about how Maori migrated to New Zealand over 700 years ago. He says that it must have been really tricky to not have had any maps or GPS to help them.

Is it Kind?

Our amazing music teacher- Mr J, wrote this song all about our school value - "Is it Kind?'
Here the boys put their own spin on it and have invented some cool dance moves to go along with the chorus.
