Sesalina Swimming.

I enjoyed swimming on the pools on Tuesdays every week its our first time at Pt England school having to look after our own swimming pool. Learning with Ben,Chris,Nicole and Matt was so fun teaching us how to play water polo.

when I started swimming in our new pool I was excited because I like when the water is cold.

I wish if Pt England school could keep this pool again.

My scorpion story

With dangerous reputation of the scorpion is well deserved. scorpion immobile their prey. by defending themselves with there sharp pincers and there venous sting. the scorpion has large sting that can paralyse people.

art in room fourteen

Rm 14 drew some picture of little critter on a large peace of paper for art. first we had to get a book with lots of bugs. then we had to copy our favourite bug i drew a common butter fly with green and blue wings when i finished colouring i dyed it in blue because it matches my butterfly after that miss king glued it on a black paper.

Monarch Butterfly by Sesalina

The monach butterfly lays an egg on the under side of a leaf. It hatches and then a little two mm baby caterpillar cames out of the egg. It goes to eat some milk weed leaves and grodually grows full size over two weeks.

When the caterpillar is nice and fat it will then attach its self to a twig up side down and changes in to a chrysalis. It takes a few weeks before you begin to see it crack. The chrysalis cracks open and a buttefly cames out.

The butterfly has to wait for its wings to dry and stiffen before they can fly.

This is what we created by writing our story about our pirate. We mixed up our story to get more ideas and so we can find information. Then we made this wordle to put on our blog to see if people around the world wants to see what we have done.

The Eruption of MT Tapu

Making volcanoes was easy and fun. All you have to get is baking soda, flour, water, salt and dye. Miss King brought all this for us. Making the volcano was so sticky and we painted it. I learned that when a volcano erupted magma turns in to lava. For next time I would add a green screen animation showing people running away from the volcano.

In the begining of exploding our volcano me,Maru,Turuhira and Sesalina were partnears .I enjoyed exploding our volcano and looking at others exploding theres .The thing that we could done better is our voice over. I learnt from doing this about making the volcano and the thing I will change next time is making our voice over more expressive and intresting to listen to.

When we first started art I was excited. My group wasn't good at working together as a team. It was hard to work as a team, We never listened to eachothers conversations about our volcano. I think we learnt more aboutmaking our volcano erupt. When it was time to erupt I couldn't wait because that is what I'd been waiting for. Next time I want my team to work together and help everyone in our team. Our writing was good but we made it to long for our movie, We need to speak fast and put some more intresting detail included.

I enjoyed watching the volcano as it erupted. Heaps of lava came down the mountain. our movie is great but unfortunately our voice over didn't always match. For next time we learnt how to make our voice over a bit faster so it match our movie as well.

Sesalina's Story About Pressure

On Monday afternoon Miss King gave us one balloon each to show how a volcano erupts. As we were starting blowing our balloons, I let my go and it flew around my face and landed on my feet.

The pressure in the balloon blows and pop just like when the volcano explodes and the ash and lava comes out of the volcano.

Sesalina's Favourite Things At Camp.

Stretching along way up the bones of an upside down dinosaur I wanted to stop of its stomach but I struggled my way up to the top and finished. I was ready to come down as Mrs Clark pulled me down fast and my hands were slipping.

Capture the Flag

I was twisting and turning almost blown about by the wind.

Our hands were waving in triumph as we safely guarded our prize.

It was a sunny day on the bottom field where room 14 dodged and sidestepped their way round room 15.

"You can’t catch me'' Litia yelled quickly, as she dodged and sidestepped. “Ha I got you!” I screamed joyfully, as I tagged her on the back.

My 2010 Reflection.

Being in year 5 was amazing because having Miss King as a teacher is awesome. learning all sots of things like Dinosaur , Pirates, Active Earth and Bugs were fun to but the best thingI like doing this year was cross country and playing sports. Sports are one of my favorite things to play. The thing I should work harder at next year at is writing and maths because I find maths a little hard so that's my goal four next year. The most thing I like doing this term was Cross Country.
