Santa Stockings

Thank goodness that all of DaBoyz made it on to Santa's Nice List because.... he visited us and left some pretty cool presents!
A couple of weeks ago Gigi made us our own stockings that we got to decorate with our own Christmas pictures. Because we have had such a great year, Santa made sure to visit us all and leave such lovely gifts.
The highlight of unwrapping our stockings had to be the socks.
Thank You Santa and Merry Christmas everyone.

Building with Mr J

Mr J enjoyed making bugles so much that he really wanted to come back and make something else.

This time we used heaps more tools and made our very own foot catapults.

Thanks Mr J. DaBoyz have enjoyed these fun activities so much and have really shown so much of what they've learnt in 2017.

Making Bugles

We were very lucky this week when Mr Jacobsen came and made bugles with us. He is a bugling superstar and often treats us to a performance at assembly.
Thank you Mr J, we love annoying Miss King with our trumpeting bugles!

Gravity Trampoline Park

DaBoyz received the most amazing gift today - one hour uninterrupted free play at Gravity Trampoline Park. Miss King's friend works at the park and was able to not only secure tickets but also brand new socks!
A most wonderful experience for all of DaBoyz.

Thank you Melissa, Te Manu, Max, Harry and everyone at Gravity

Musical Madness

The theme for term 4 at Pt England is - Musical Madness. This means that we are learning lots about music. Poor Miss King needs lots of help when it comes to music, so we started simple with glockenspiels, recorders and Garageband. We have certainly had a lot of fun learning a little about these instruments and together we've even recorded a song!

Space Art

This week we have been creating some amazing artwork.  To fit with our space theme, the boys have painted pictures of rockets and planets. We worked hard to persevere through the challenges and to not let mistakes get in our way.
Everyone is very very proud of what they have created - especially Miss King

Because it was a sunny day....

Because it's fun, because the sun was shinning, because we wanted to, we went to build huts, climb trees and play in the mud.
Pt England is very lucky to have a small bush reserve next to school. Miss King has wanted to visit and play there for aaaages. Today was the day that the sun finally shone and we could go and play to our heart's content.

Solar System Cookies

#DaBoyz are so curious about space, planets and life beyond earth. What better way to further explore our Solar System than to bake planet cookies!

50points for whoever spots the spelling mistake. :-)

We Know the Way

We love music and we adore performing - so why not combine both. We couldn't see any reason to not spend an hour of our day singing and performing.

Forces of Flight

As part of our learning about Matariki and kites and all things technology, we spent last week learning about the forces involved in flight - so, of course, we had to make lots of flying things.

Puddles

The giant puddle was too tempting too resist!  We put on our togs and jumped right in. SO much fun.

Riding on the Bike Track

One of our favourite things to do is to ride on our brand new bike track.  We've been learning to wear our helmets, check our bikes and to make sure we've got the right clothes on.
Each time we go for a ride we have races, play games and have spectacular crashes. We really love bike riding - Thanks Mr J for our amazing bike track and thanks Whaea Saf for the cute movie.

Te Taiao O Tamaki

The boys have been learning about how the simple act of picking up rubbish can make a huge difference to the health of our environment.
As part of our learning we have made these stop motion animations using I Can Animate, Garageband, iMovie and good old fashioned paint, paper and popsicle sticks.

Enjoy Moui and Lee's movies below. See the rest of the boys' movies by clicking on their blog links to the right ----------------->

Our annual school picnic was held last Friday at Pt England Reserve. We had too much summertime fun. Enjoy seeing what we got up to.
The boys will have some stories up on their blogs very soon. Stay tuned.
